I have watched all episodes of Sharpe and greatly enjoyed them all. The character of Sharpe wouldn't be complete without the Harper character. I couldn't imagine another actor playing Harper as well as Mr. O'Malley did.

Didn't have time to watch Sharpe when it was on before - bless the person who invented Freeview!! There's a lack of pretty frocks but then again Harper would not look good in a lace empire line dress!

In the late 1970s I was working in Ireland and was going out with Daragh's sister, Suzanne. I remember visiting her at the family home in Limerick and also visiting Daragh with her at a restaurant he had at Kilkee named "The Food Studio".

Wishing you a happy birthday & continued success! My paternal grandparents were both O'Malley, from County Mayo. The history of the clan says we are all related. A pleasant thought. Also we were born in the same year and less than a month apart.

A widow of nine years I have loved the Sharpe Series since 1997. Have watched each episode 40 X's. I journaled reflections of what Harper and Sharpe said. Harper, the alter ego" has wisdom that kept me fighting to love life again. Powerful!!!
